Eoin is from Newry and is the Writer and Director of Free House. Free House is through to the finals of RTÉ's Storyland Film Making competition and is the only Northern Irish finalist. He's competing against 7 other film makers and needs online votes from the public to get through each of the four remaining round. Each round involves creating a 6 minute long episode that will be placed on www.rte.ie/storyland and people will vote for it on that site. The first of these four episodes will be released at end the end of February 2011. There will be one week of online voting for each episode and one month between each episode.
Marketing is incredibly important to Free House as it's a new show that no-one knows about, made in a quick turnaround time and all votes are needed within one week of the episode airing. There's a minimal budget assigned to the actual marketing, so much is done at very little cost. Find out more from Eoin's talk.
